I haven’t been here since Glen has taken the pub over and I have to say that I am so glad I did. My friends and I had the salmon, belly pork (mouth watering) and the lasagne and all three dishes were cooked perfectly and all dishes were reasonably priced and o woukd say yoi get more than what you pay for. The staff were lovely and of course the location is stunning. I will be returning every time I am near and feel peckish. If you haven’t been before I certainly recommend the Golden Lion, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you to Glen and her team for a lovely lunch.

The place is a little gem with good traditional pub food, excellent beer and courteous, friendly staff. If you just want a drink, there is a lovely bar area with a small snug complete with 🪵 burner. Dog friendly. The campsite has great views across the Stithians reservoir. If they will let us return, we will be back.

Not been here for a good few years despite it being my local. New owners doing a great job. Mushroom risotto was cooked to perfection and the scampi n chips was generous and piping hot. Service swift, nice atmosphere, banoffee pie excellent and the creme brulee was the perfect desert for the evening. Highly recommended! Be back soon!
